SOVEREIGN The Sovereigns are the representatives of the island. With the great honor of Sovereign comes responsibility. A Sovereign cares for his/her people, a Sovereign sacrifices for his/her people, a Sovereign stands with his/her people. They are who we look up to in times of trouble. Once a leader dies, he or she will be buried in the middle of camp, under the great oak tree. To appoint a new leader, the remaining leader will let the proxy step up beside them.

PROXY A Proxy is someone to take up the role of Sovereign when Riot nor Vexx can attend to roleplay sessions. They are strong and respected, fearless and brave. They deserve the utmost care and honoring. When the proxy dies, his or her body will be cut open and thrown into the ocean, where the sea life will feast on their body attracted to the mass loss of blood. A new proxy will be appointed after he or she has done moons of great service, and completed the Trail Of The Proxy, a course of contests to see who will become proxy.

REAPERS Reapers are strong, mysterious pack-members who bring death upon the lands. They are the strongest of all canines, the bulk killers that protect us. Coming across a Reaper of Tension is a death sentence itself, for their mischievous ways can not be deflected like simple projectiles. Becoming a Reaper is a task only the brave will face. A canine will battle against another, both strong and raging, and the winner will be determined after a canine gives up, however, a battle can go on until death.

SOOTHSAYERS SoothSayers are seen as great religious figures and representatives, giving their wisdom and abilities to those who've done sin among the ways of VuurNasie. If a canine is to commit crime, SoothSayers will be called in to try and rid the canine of any dark presences within. Cleansing in a way, they will often be seen laying by ponds, washing the bones of the dead and building Odin's Keep with them. They can also speak to the ones of Fiery Skies, and bring messages or omens down from them, however, usually the oldest and wisest of the SoothSayers, nicknamed the Oracle, can do so.

INFILTRATOR Infiltrators are extremely well-fit canines and felines who specialize in raiding. They have specific training that allows them to blend in with surroundings, and make sure missions have the highest possible success rate they can get. Infiltrators have to be fast and ready to face death at all times, since they are a rank that is almost always at risk of death.

LYNCHER Lynchers are strong canines that punish the canines of Tension who have done wrong. Their mass is made up of muscle, and they are not a friendly face to come across. If ordered, the Lyncher has permission to even force feed rogues poisonous berries to death, while their stomach is ripped out, however this only happened once during the Haravan Era. Punishments are lighter during the present Pala Era

SHAMAN Shamans are the ones closest to the stars. They foretell of prophecies far greater than the mind can comprehend, and stories passed down from the ancient members who once frolicked in Tension. They also heal, with their knowledge they can fix up a wound thought to be lethal. We honor Shamans for their dedication to the pack.

HERBALIST A Herbalist is a helping-hand to the Shamans. While Shamans work, they will study them, learn from them, and help them. Usually following tasks such as gathering medicine, they are a quite useful rank for the pack. A Herbalist can also be referred to as a Novice Shaman, due to them almost always becoming a Shaman in the future.

They are strong, loyal and brave, listening to all commands the Sovereign has to say. They patrol, they bring us food, and help the foundation of Tension grow into a bigger better Nation Of Fire.

PURSUANT Pursuants hunt and feed the pack. They specialize in undergrowth hunting, and usually are on doubled patrols compared to Combatants. A Pursuant will usually be quite ectomorphic, hence why they aren't a combatant. The Pursuant rank is easily earned, and usually takes less effort to become than a Combatant or Drifter.

YOUTH Youth are the young of the nation. They symbolize a new future, a new beginning, and a new start. Each youth must be treated like royalty, for they are what holds us up no matter how small. A mother will give birth to 3 spawn as usual, however kits who play weak are usually killed off by their brothers and sisters, so a successful 4 pups are the usual amount per year.

ELDERLY Elders, or "Elderly" are canines and felines who have grown old and unable to fight. Usually, Elders will be taken good care of, however if an elder grows paralyzed, unable to speak, totally blind, or fatally ill, they will usually be killed with death-berries in a ceremony with the SoothSayers and Alchemists. This is to honor their lives, and make sure they are sent to Fiery Skies painless. However, if an Elder needs no care, and can help themselves, they are usually left untouched. If an Elder has great connections to Vuur Nasie, they can potentially become a SoothSayer.

OMITTED When an apprentice, it is mandatory that you compete for the title. An apprentice will pick someone from the crowd, fight them, and that will determine their rank if the succeed/fall. Those who fail the test are often referred to as Omitted, and ever so rarely make it to combatant or pursuant again. Omitted hunt, gather water, and take care of the combatants during battle. They aren't allowed to speak unless spoken to, and are often purposefully mute. Omitted are like lifeless slaves, doing the work for everyone else. An Omitted can also be a rebel who was taken in, but Rebel-Omitted must be constantly under supervision.

HISTORICAL LORE OF TENSION
|
Before what was known as the Kalahari of Africa, a deserted foreign land was pillared in the middle of three nations. Bordered from one another, they lived in a mostly dull fashion. These nations did not consider themselves as allies or adversaries, but as neutrals that were not to be acknowledged. One would call it a solitary life-style, others would call it a blessing, but as the churning of the rivers shifted trails, the Kalahari was flowing with new creations of life. The source of why it changed was unclear, but the other nations were forced to relinquish over their droughts that now flowed between them all. These nations had infamous reputations, but warfare and conflict was almost unheard of between them, however, struck down by such an impact to a nations health, they were forced into breaking the treaty that they swore by. A bloodbath had awoken upon the land, and abandonment of all nation camps had sailed, as they all threw themselves into the Kalahari. They did not utilize the water once gained, only fought one another to claim it as ones own. This was self-destructive behavior, and soon all three packs were on their flanks, listening to the forlorn wails of the injured. All of their standing authorities had perished, and only the confused were left. In an attempt at survival, they took it upon themselves to rejoice in what they had, and combine one another into The Nation Of Fire, in acknowledgement of the fire that they had once fallen to in the heat of battle.

TRADITIONS AND EVENTS
|
Tension is a pack looking to strive for the entertainment and pleasure of our members, meaning we have to have good lore, backstories, and events to help bring our creations to life. This list contains all the traditions marked down in history before, and many more are soon to come. As for events, Tension has many ways of lightening the hears of others, and a festival of Tension's is said to be like no other. Odin, the first leader of Tension, created most traditions listed, but fewer more morbid ones have been the aftermath of recent chaotic times.
PROMOTION CEREMONIES
Being promoted is a big deal, and what you say means it all as they proceed through the ranks. Each promotion has a special saying, usually starting with how one has helped the pack, and why they should be promoted. Then ending in ones oath to seal the promotion. Once the member vows, they will be assigned the new role.
PROMOTION TRIALS
Before every promotion, each rank must prove they are worth what they are in stock for. Bravery is put to the test, and strength and stamina are a good ally to have on your side. Starting at apprentices, one will simply climb up a tree and retrieve an eagles egg. If the eagle gets a hold of the canine/feline, they will be left there. Proceeding to any other rank, you must duel for it.
AVALANCHE FESTIVALS
The older camp before Tension's current, was struck down by an avalanche. In celebration of survival and appreciation of their good luck and prosperity, they will hold a grand event known as the Avalanche Festival. Canines will roll a stone to the top of the hill, below the watering hole, then roll it down into the water. The biggest splash earns the most respect, and they will be praised for their strength.
HANVOU'S CELEBRATION
Hanvou is one of the many gods of Tension, one in which holds the power of good harvests and plentiful food. Every end of Spring, a field of berries of all colors will arise. In a spiritual manner, a canine will paint his/her face with the berries of choice, and bring the camp to life with vibrant colors.

MENTAL + PHYSICAL TRAITS OF PURE-BORN
|
PHYSICAL
|
MENTAL
|
Pure-born/blooded, also known as Gold-Face, are very specific in detail. They have very golden-ish coats with black details speckling the body. The very unique pelt developed over-time as temperatures made a rise during the years. Similar to that of a cheetah, they have darker patches spread around the body. Around the paws, a fluffy bunch of fur called feathering will occur. Feathering can also happen around the tail, neck, and chin. They almost never have any other eye color other than amber, yellows/golds or browns. On the other hand, Night-Faces, the descendants of Aviala, carry heavy black pelts or dark browns, without feathering.
|
A typical canid of Tension is depicted as a loyal, determined character capable of doing many great things. Although the same rank usually as past-rogue members of Tension, pure-borns are still respected the slightest bit more, due to them being the descendants of Odin, the first leader of Tension. Tension strives to make sure everyone sees each other as a family, and being very close to that family, pure-born members are usually very close with family, friend and the pack. Aviala, the third leader of Tension, had bred with a rogue corrupting some of the bloodline, which has lead to another type of pure-born known as Night-Faces. A night-face is almost always black, and are usually more fit for combat that social communication.

As a member of Tension, you swear to utilize every moment here you have, and to make the best future for your pack. Disabilities are a common set-back in your duties, and can be life-risking if the pack finds you useless. However, those who can survive with this disability, will be able to walk the ranks of Tension. Paralysis and Full Vision loss are said to be death-sentences if not worked around, so it is best given to very well developed characters. Disabilities can really bring your character to life, making them unique and out there. But only a certain amount may get these, since it is not advised that our pack is full of cripples. Tension is built around favoritism of the stronger, so a feeble disabled OC may not have more than 2 physical or mental disabilities. Please don't make more than one character disabled, since you will most likely be declined. To request permission of having a disabled character, you must either contact Minimomo64 or put down a new OC form with the details in extra. Take note that you can not abuse your OC's disability, such as committing crime and using ADHD to defend your OC.

OUR RULES AND JOINING REQUIREMENTS
|
1. Activity
Activity is a major #1 in Tension. Utilize the time you have here, and progress the whole of Tension with the slightest contribution each few days a week. We do not ask that you put Tension in front of everyday life, but we do expect you to still have commitment to the pack. Furthermore, we will not tolerate inactivity that is unexpected without good reason. Simply losing motivation to log on is a setback for not just you, but the whole of the pack. Make sure you get the best out of the pack, and roleplay with us when you can.
2. Mindfulness
When talking to those of Tension, we highly advise you stay in a calm and behaved manner. Be mindful of those who surround you, and those who control you. If someone has an opinion that you disagree on, simply take it away from Tension, because we will not tolerate with personal drama that affects the happiness and tranquility of the pack. Agree to disagree, don't let it get in the way of the daily routine you are expected to pledge down to.
3. Respecting High Ranks
Tension's foundation is made up of each and every member of the pack, but then again, the reigning rulers are still to be respected for their commitment to helping the pack. Everything they do for the pack is also for you, and disrespect towards them would be an unfathomably rude thing to do. Have empathy with the high ranks, and how hard they work just to make each day more fun for you all.
4. Double Grouping
If you have pledged your loyalty to a specific group, you are expected to stay there with that loyalty. One of the most common rules, and yet so commonly broken. Avoid joining other groups after you swear your oath to Tension. SideGroups and Discord groups are fine, but no other groups aside from Tension will be tolerated.
5. Controllable Behavior
If you are feeling grief, anger, embarrassment or any other strong emotion that you are having a hard time dealing with, take a break. Post an inactivity form, because we will not tolerate outbreaks that will lead to punishments due to it. We want you on your best behavior when you join Tension, and that won't change.
