MireClan, founded July 2024 by Sprenkeln, is a neutral-realmed clan based off of Erin Hunter’s series Warrior Cats. MireClan was created to offer roleplayers both new and experienced a setting where the development of storylines and characters are prioritised in roleplay, encouraging character-building and the bonding of members both in and out of roleplay. Roleplay is characterised as a choose-your-own-adventure story, allowing for members to participate in the outcomes of plots, sometimes determining the route of characters themselves or the clan as a whole. Everyone is involved in the storyline as it is carried out by all of our members, so no one roleplayer is more significant than the next; in fact, we encourage smaller plots between characters in order to ensure that everybody may enjoy their experience to the best of our ability, as well as keep roleplay both active and exciting for all.

MireClan resides in the prosperous wilderness of Cairngorms National Park, Scotland, in the foothills of the great mountains. The territory is characterised by expansive marshes, fortifying twisting roots, water-logged earth, and bustling communities. The cats of MireClan make their camp in the ruins of a long abandoned medieval fortress, its barren stone walls plastered by the remnants of surrounding nature. It is within this settlement that the clan prevails, working together to keep their territory both flourishing and well-guarded.

This roleplay is distinctive for it’s main plotline: after generations of lingering threats from Dark Forest cats and fearsome cultists, which first took claim over their star-promised leader, MireClan is slowly breaking free from its treacherous roots — the very roots that once coiled around their throats, relentlessly choking out any sense of hope and daring. Still, even under new leadership, MireClan continues to harbour religious turmoil in its ranks, and what was once a tight-knit, connected clan remains an unravelling web of conflict.

REGULATIONS

1. Swearing is allowed both in and out of roleplay. However, if a member asks you to tone down how much you're cussing, please do. Slurs are not to be said in any channel, even if they are yours to reclaim. Gifs or images including slurs are not allowed either.

2. We do not permit homophobia, racism, transphobia, bullying, or any discriminatory language in any way. Please be respectful to everyone, in and out of our server, no matter what sort of experiences that you may have had with them. Additionally, be considerate of other people's triggers.

3. You must be 15 and older to join MireClan, and 13 to be on Discord and FANDOM alone. If you are found to be under this age when joining, you will be banned.

4. NSFW content is strictly not allowed in the server. Suggestive content is prohibited by all means, including gifs, videos, images, etc.. This also includes talk about alcohol, drugs, gore, and pornographic content.

5. In our server, we have a nicknaming system. You must change your nickname to the name you want to go by followed by the name of your character(s). Nicknames must be taggable and may not be made up entirely out of fonts or special characters.

6. Any form of theft will be not tolerated; this includes art theft, plagiarism, or character theft. Make sure that you credit any art that you share that is not entirely your own work and credit all designers accordingly. Text and art produced by AI is also not allowed.

1. Write roleplay in the third person, describing the character’s actions rather than picturing them as yourself. The only exception to this rule is when writing thoughts.

2. Please note that these animals are not anthropomorphic; do not roleplay them as such. Furthermore, these cats hold very little knowledge regarding man-made objects such as cars, trains, planes, et cetera.

3. Your roleplay must exceed five sentences and have enough content for your partner(s) to reply to. This means that it must have action, as well as speech, unless you are posting a starter. The majority of your roleplay should be in base text. Italics or bold should be used to apply emphasis or for thoughts. Fonts and special text can be used only for the header of your posts. That being said, they must still be legible. The same goes for server nicknames; make sure that your username or nickname is taggable!

4. Graphic description in roleplay is not allowed. Whether this be mating (or suggestive content in general), gore, abuse, or birth scenes, this is strictly not allowed and punishable by a ban, depending on the severity. When writing a scene of conflict or upsetting imagery, if you feel that the description may be triggering to some, then spoiler the content and add the appropriate trigger warning.

5. Religious beliefs in MireClan are strictly traditional and the clan outwardly worships StarClan. A cat may believe in StarClan and The Place of No Stars ( TPoNS ) or neither. The common cat may worship TPoNS as any would StarClan, devoting themselves to a darker, lawless life. However, this is not to say that your character may be inherently evil, and worshipping taboo lifestyles can and will wind up your character in trouble when applicable.

MireClan: a clan of good will and prosperity so swiftly turned to a storm of fire, blood, and anguish. But how could this be? Those who survived tell tale of Dark Forest spirits and an unrestrained sense of ambition. Not one cat may be certain for sure, but it was written within the stars that Sagestar, once and polite and courageous young warrior, harnessed a dangerous hubris. And dangerous she would be.

Sagestar— or Sageweaver at this point in time— was a beautiful young molly, well-built and lithe, a desirable patterning to her pelt, and the most striking eyes of an orange most cats had never encountered in the forests before, yet perhaps once seen on the surface of the sun. MireClan was in good spirits when the young she-cat was promoted to deputy under Sturgeonstar’s leadership, and during her service she introduced many well-favoured traditions and holidays to the clan. The sun’s own daughter was what they called her; the she-cat was fiery and sharp-witted forevermore.

And then came Leaf-bare. Tragedies struck in waves: first came the blizzards, great, billowing plumes of snow taking claim of the forest; then, plague struck, and MireClan faced numerous casualities with an outbreak of green-cough. With morale low and grief culminating, some argue that the greatest tragedy of all was Sagestar’s downfall. The leader was first restless and sitant, taking long absences from camp during the sickness. Then, she made her return and, as cold and bitter as the wild snowstorms, the she-cat made her orders: exile those who carried the disease. Such disasters were clearly a punishment from StarClan, so why not remove those who suffer! StarClan had revealed the sinners, and Sagestar took it upon herself to go forth with what became the Cleaning of MireClan. Sagestar continued to banish those who bore their misdeeds— the sick—, and once she had successfully eradicated the disease, grew cynical and wary. She knew she had been cruel, and so she decided that it was necessary to remove those who opposed her— or, more rather, those who she supposed would oppose her.

It has been many moons since Sagestar was leader. Many moons, yet the tension still lingers within MireClan’s ranks. Sagestar was banished after a reign of four seasons, chased out of the territory by a band of revolutionaries. The clan’s medicine cat, Morninghaze took her place, using the single life that StarClan could grant to replenish MireClan and return its previous glory. She, alongside esteemed deputy Bayoubrine, made it their duty to restore the clan’s faith in StarClan, guided by dreams seemingly sent by the stars themselves. She warned the clan that Sturgeonstar’s paranoia was well-founded. The stars, though they shined stronger than they had in a long, long time, were concealed by a thick overhead mist, hauntingly dark against the bright moon.

MireClan rediscovered its former glory under Morningstar’s leadership. A long-time friend of StarClan, she thrived under her ancestor’s guidance and, after a reign of six moons, was safe in the knowledge that her kin could flourish for moons to come. On her deathbed, she demoted Bayoubrine, instead honoring Vervaincradle as the rightful leader of MireClan.

With an inexperienced leader far too young and far too withdrawn compared to the clan’s best, the cats of the mire have one question on their mind: Is this truly StarClan’s bidding?

1. Feel free to have some artistic liberty with your characters! You may create OCs with ‘unrealistic’ patterns and have some unnatural tints to their coat (such as a blue-grey), but characters with bright blue pelts or the like are not allowed.

2. While OCs inspired by fictional characters are allowed, you may not completely copy their personality or appearance. You may take on their name and parts of their personality, but any work that is not your own is considered theft.

3. No Mary-Sues/Gary-Sues. Your character must have both positive and negative traits. Nobody is perfect! That being said, to create an ‘evil’ character, you must ask an admin beforehand and discuss how their personality would affect roleplay and the people around them.

4. The traditional naming style of Warriors is to be used. This means that names are to be written as Thistlestar, Thistlebrook, Thistlepaw, etc. rather than Thistle'brook. However, stylisation such as ThistleBrook or Thistle Brook is also acceptable. Rogue names are currently not allowed.

The leader is charged with the responsibility of watching over the ranks, carrying the weight of the clan on their shoulders. As the head of the clan, they manage and organise clan events including ceremonies, promotions, gatherings, organising patrols, and clan meetings. It is expected of them to lay down their life for their clan, and a successful leader is composed, reliable, and compassionate, and their personality tends to represent the mentality of the clan. The leader is granted nine lives by their ancestors in StarClan, each with a distinctive quality that will aid in their leadership, and they are given the suffix 'star'.

The deputy is the leader's right hand man and, as the second-in-command, they aid the leader with their everyday tasks, helping distribute the weight. Should the leader be unavailable, the deputy will stand in for them as a representative. While they are in charge of planning patrols, they continue to perform the standard warrior responsibilities, although they frequently serve as an advisor and are essentially the leader's apprentice, learning the ways of commandeering a clan. The deputy is usually the one to take the leader's place, should they retire, pass away, or are banished from the clan.

MEDICINE CATS

The medicine cat acts as both the spiritual leader and healer, serving as a representative of their ancestors in StarClan. Because of this, the leader frequently relies on them to deliver messages to and from StarClan as medicine cats share a connection to spirits and the supernatural that no other cat has. As herb stores are limited, the duties of a medicine cats usually include quarantining and nursing the sick and injured, midwifery, and leading religious practices.

MEDICINE CAT APPRENTICE

The weavers are a rank unique to MireClan. Their main role is to maintain the dens, ensuring that the camp is secure and comfortable, and guard camp, reinforcing camp walls and defences. Otherwise, a weaver will spend most of the workshop, creating various tools and items to aid themselves and others in their daily tasks. Weavers are typically dexterous and resourceful cats that perform better in a creative setting as opposed to practical and confrontational situations, such as patrolling and hunting.

GARDENERS

The gardeners are a rank unique to MireClan. They specialise in gardening and have extensive horticultural knowledge and, while they do not know much about the uses of their herbs, they can serve as an assistant to the medicine cats in this regard. As well as gathering seeds and tending to the camp gardens, the gardeners are also tasked with maintaining healthy ecosystems throughout the territory, ensuring order and balance in the wildlife. Typically, a gardener is a conservationist; they are far more likely to help an injured animal than to put it out of its misery.

Queens are cats that reside in the nursery and are either expecting or caring for kits. OUTLANDERS

An outlander is a newcomer within MireClan's ranks, typically a rogue, loner, or sometimes kittypet recruited by a warrior. These cats must stand trial over a moon, where they must prove loyalty to the clan and that they are worthy to become a warrior. To put it briefly, these cats are more or less prisoners, being confined to their den more often than not and closely watched over by a specific warrior, who at the same time must show them the ways of clan life. To be an outlander is not a punishment, but more rather an introduction.

Cats often use their original names while an outlander, but will receive a warrior name upon joining.
