OVERALL: Amaterasu is a Japanese themed group with distinctive canines who possess special physical abilities. The province in which these canines live is onerous and fit for only those who can endure constant peril and turmoil. Unlike traditional roleplays, Amaterasu includes the use of weapons, armor, and frequent encounters with demons. This pack is running to be further expressive and unique compared to other packs, bringing a new concept to the world of roleplay. ABILITIES: Although Amaterasu does hold traditional canines, their physical strengths are superior to that of ordinary beings. Because the members will constantly be tasked with eliminating Oni, they are required to have enhanced abilities. The five senses (sight, sound, scent, taste, feeling) along with strength and speed are all advancements resulting from excessive training and the blessings from the goddess Amaterasu. The development of these skills are what will determine life or death. ONI: The main antagonist of this roleplay are Oni. These are beings who have succumbed to the malicious temptations of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and turned corrupt; in our particular case, these are former canines. These demons are remorseless, canibalistic creatures who enjoy bringing agony and destruction- ultimately carrying out the wishes of Amatsu-Mikaboshi. They too, have supernatural abilities, ranging from all different levels of power. The beings of Amaterasu dedicate their existence to the demise and extinction of the Oni race. ROLEPLAY RULES ❀ PLOTS Ideas for plots are always welcome, however acting on your own and playing "the main character" will not be tolerated in Amaterasu. If you have an idea for a plot, please bring it up to the Sukketo or Kami. ❀ ROLEPLAY Amaterasu is a serious pack, meaning roleplay should be organized and taken seriously. When roleplaying, please speak in third-person (She went to the park), and use quotation marks when your character is speaking ("Hi my name is y/n"). Mannerism in roleplay reflects the group. ❀ SECOND OC Two OC's are allowed, however you must get permission from the Sukketo or Kami. You must have been a part of Amaterasu for a minimum of two weeks before submitting a request. You cannot have more than one OC in the Genin or Yoji role. ❀ SHINOBI Shinobi are responsible for reporting back to the Sukketo/Kami about their apprentices' progress in order to schedule a graduation date. Those who have apprentices must have completed at least 5 training sessions in order for their apprentice to graduate. ❀ TIMES 1 month in roleplay equates to 2 weeks in real time. This meaning, Genin should graduate within 24 weeks (12 IRL) and Yoji will graduate in 12 weeks (6 IRL). Additionally, Amaterasu will follow seasonal change based off American times (summer in America means it's summer in roleplay). OORP RULES ❀ RESPECT Respect is expected from every member, in and out of roleplay. This goes along the lines of bullying/harassment which are not tolerated under any circumstances. Everyone should feel welcomed no matter your race, sexuality or religion- treat people the way you want to be treated. ❀ DRAMA Drama is expected in roleplay and between OC's, however if it seems to be affecting your relationship with someone on a personal level please take the time to sort it out privately. ❀ DEPARTURE If you choose to leave Amaterasu, you will given one more opportunity to return. If you leave for a second time, you will most likely be placed on the exiled list. Be wise in your decisions. ❀ LANGUAGE Swearing is allowed in and out of roleplay. However, racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. It is very offensive, and the use of such will result in removal from the community. The Kami are the highest ranking, leading the pack as a male and female pair. Their words are law and they are the most respected in the pack. They will be addressed with the honorific, "-sama" and any disrespect towards them will result in instant consequence.

These are the medics are responsible for caring for the sick and wounded of the pack. They hold immense knowledge in herbs and are experienced in rituals. In the case a member falls into the temptations of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, they will be required to perform an exorcism.

KANNUSHI GENIN [2/3 | OPEN]

Kannushi Genin are young canines who wish to become medics and are chosen specifically by the Kannushi themselves. They will work closely under the Kannushi, studying and learning until graduation. This training takes longer than that of the Shinobi, due to the precision they must have in their work.

The Hashira are the most skillful of the Shinobi. This rank is awarded to Shinobi who excell in battling Oni. Each Hashira will represent one of the blessings given to the wolves of Amaterasu: Strength, Speed, and Tactic. Hashira will rarely be assigned to train Genin due to constantly being tasked with eradicating Oni.

One of the most important roles, the Shinobi are the warriors of the pack. They are responsible for defending camp, providing food and training future generations. Additionally, thanks to special training, the Shinobi will often be tasked with removing Oni from the territory.

TENSHI [1/3 | OPEN]

Tenshi are the well-respected mothers/carers of the pack. These wolves have either chosen to permanently be assigned to this rank, or are new mothers taking time off as Shinobi to care for their pups. Temporary Tenshi will return to their original rank once their pups have become Genin (6 months).

The Genin are the apprentices of the pack. Now old enough to train, these young wolves will be assigned to a Shinobi to develop their skills and prepare them to play an important role in Amaterasu. Training should be completed within a year, increasing difficulty with every new month.

YOJI [2/10 | OPEN]

oji are the youngest of the pack, ranging from infant to 6-month-old pups. They are the future of the pack and are cared for by the Tenshi. Yoji must remain in camp within range of a Tenshi at all times. ⭒ = adopted

INSIDE CAMP Main Temple: Located at the top of the hill, this is where the the Kami sleep. It overlooks the entire camp (including a view of the territory), making it a great place to scout. Decorating the front of the temple is a small lily pond as well as bamboo that dots the scenery. Side Temple: Located besides the temple atop the hill, this is where the Sukketo sleep. It has similar features to that of the main temple besides its size; this temple is slightly smaller. Hashira's Cave: Located behind the O-yoroi tree is the shop. Stepping stones will lead you directly to the cave entrance, which is lit up with lanterns. A minka has been built within the cave which gives a home to the Hashira and it is very spacious and decorated somewhat expensively with the souvenirs of these warriors. Due to their profound rank, only higher-ups are permitted to enter this secluded part of camp. Clearing: Located at the center of the camp, this is where the pack comes together to socialize. An O-yoroi tree stands in the center right before the hill. It is where canines come to say their prayers, and where the Kami or Sukketo will give announcements. Gyōsha Shop: Located on the bottom right of the hill's base is the Gyōsha shop. This two-story minka has the actual shop on the first floor, the sleeping quarters on the second, and a blacksmith workshop in the back. The front has an open window where canines can order items, and just like a store, only employees (as well as higher-ups) are aloud inside. Kannushi Shrine: Located on the bottom left of the hill's base, this is where the Kannushi reside. It has two stories: work and lifestyle. The bottom is very spacious which allows the Kannushi to host wounded or sick canines, as well as carry out exorcisms and other experiments. The second story has enough space for about 4 canines and this is where Kannushi or Kannushi Genin can rest. Nursery: Located besides the shrine, this is where the Tenshi and Yoji will sleep. This minka is also very spacious and comfortable, which makes it the perfect location for juveniles. Genin Minka: Located besides the Gyõsha shop is the Genin's home. It is a comfortable setting, perfect when returning after a long day's work. Shinobi Minka: Located closest to the front gate on the right side of camp is where Shinobi sleep. This is probably the biggest minka as it hols the most amount of canines.

INSIDE TERRITORY Bamboo Forest: As the name suggests, this forest is occupied by thousands of bamboo stalks and long streams. The bamboo here is unique due to their size, as they can grow to the width of three wolves! Unfortunately, the stalks make it easier for Oni to maneuver. The environment is tranquill thanks to the high canopy that provides shade from scorching temperatures and shelter from heavy rains. The prey is abundant throughout the spring and summer, and less-so throughout the fall and winter. Sakura Grove: This area is known for the cherry trees that blossom beautifully during the spring. It is very spacious with trees distanced at about 100 feet. Throughout the spring and summer, the temperatures range from low 70’s to low 100’s, and drop dramatically during the fall and winter seasons. Prey is abundant, and mostly consists of rabbits. Koi Lake: Koi Lake is a somewhat large lily pond that borders Sakura Grove and feeds the streams that run through Bamboo Forest. As the name suggests, this pond houses many koi fish that are amusing to look at while on patrol. Additionally, there is a bridge (built by past humans), that leads into the entrance of camp. There isn’t much prey here, however there are useful herbs by the shore. Unfortunately, despite the beauty, at night it can become very dangerous due to the Oni who ambush lurking canines. Okami Mountain: This mountain isn’t the best of places, considering the strong Oni who live here and the environment.. The terrain is rocky, the air is thin, there is little prey, and the temperatures never reach above 60 degrees. However, due to these conditions, Okami Mountain makes a great place for training. More advanced Genin will be brought here to focus on their physical abilities. Additionally, useful herbs are abundant.

FAQ How many characters can I have? You can have a maximum of 4 characters, however you will need to buy the third and fourth slot. (visit Diushi's shop.) How often can I add a new OC? After joining you must wait 2 weeks before making a second character. You must wait 3 weeks after making your second character for your third. If you make a form before then, your character will remain inactive until you’ve passed the benchmark. How many limitations can my character have? Your character can have a maximum of 3 limitations, however you must buy the other two. (visit Diushi's shop.) Is there specific naming? No, any name is fine (although Japanese names are most common). Can I change my character’s rank or name? Yes, but make sure to get an Admin’s permission first. Can my character have accessories? Yes! Visit 'attire' in our Discord server to see what’s allowed. Can I become a page editor or join the plot/art team? These roles can only be obtained by filling out a form and having it accepted by an Admin. How do I get an ‘earned’ rank? Hence the name, these ranks are earned by members who have proven suitable to have them. These are either given by the Kami/Suketto or applied for through tryouts. How many high-ranks can a person have? You are only allowed one high-rank. Can visitors roleplay? Unless asked for (and permitted) then no, visitors cannot roleplay. My question isn't on here... No worries! Just contact a high rank and they'll let you know.
